Each Monday the Five Spot will unspool two eye-popping Philly Premieres. The movies have been selected by local film director Andrew Repasky McElhinney who is known for his work promoting obscure and neglected celluloid. The Five Spot encourages local industry and talent to use "Features at the Five" as a venue to discover fresh work, network and discuss the status of film in Philadelphia. FEATURES FOR MONDAY, JUNE 4TH 8 PM: FRANKS & WIENERS (2000/120m/DV) A down-on-his-luck loser named Frank gets kidnapped by a sexy female convenience store robber and soon meets her circle of lame-brained hoodlum friends including Ted, who seduces female senior citizens out of their retirement checks, and Jasmine, a flamboyant queen who's had the hots for Ted since high school. On a journey to nowhere, Frank finds his destination and himself, and begins to take control of his life.
