Gordon DelGiorno was born a used car salesman's son on Groundhog Day 1968 in Wilmington, Delaware. His parents owned a sub & sandwich shop on Lincoln Street for the first several years of his life. Things were very comfortable. Then something happened that would shape his life forever. (I have to make this dramatic, for Christ's sake!) G ordon sums up the rest of his childhood life with one word... DYSFUNCTION!!! "M om and Dad got divorced when I was seven. Then they sold the business in '76. Mom would say, "Dad got seven grand and I got a thousand and three kids!" You know how much some people always exaggerate things. Mom always made us feel like a burden. (I'm only kidding Mom... Now put down the knife!)" "M y mom and two younger brothers moved into a small apartment, and got our asses kicked daily by neighborhood punks who didn't like the new kids in town. We hung by the stove when it was real cold 'cause we couldn't afford the heat, we were the only kids in our suburban school class to get the government free lunches (I told everyone that my mom pre-paid), and got arrested a couple times for dumb shit. But if you work hard and have a little luck, from DYSFUNCTION comes FUNCTION." N owadays, it's all about the FUNCTION. Getting it done. Doing what it takes to be a success and developing relationships along the way. (Is that corny enough for you folks?)
