We've received lots of feedback about the film, good and bad, from those who matter most - viewers like you! A few comments are reprinted below. Some responses include spoiler information, as noted before each of them. Let us know your thoughts! That franks & wieners was one funny ass movie!!! I haven't laughed out loud at a movie in a while. The part at the gas station is PRICELESS!!! Jim Wagner 11/4/02 ![]() I saw the movie. It was really funny. Yes, they were grossed out :) The gay guy reminded me of one of my friends... (that's pretty bad) and on the soundtrack, I liked the Finders, they were pretty cool. Oh, and one of my fave parts of the movie was when the guy was channel surfing and the scream thing was there and he said something like "damn independent films!" I thought it was so funny. Kate Lux 4/5/01 ![]() The Saturday night screening of franks & wieners was a huge success. Everyone was genuinely impressed! I think they came into it thinking it was going to be some silly little "America's Funniest Home Videos" thing, not expecting it to be a real full-fledged feature film. As one guy put it - "It's even got a plot!" One of the local news people did some research before coming over. She was VERRRRRY impressed with the Web site. We didn't get any coverage from her, however that may change since she's seen and liked the final product. Okay, I have another showing set for the near future. I think a good marketing line came out of our first screening. "It's the feel yourself movie of the year!" Greg K 3/27/01 ![]() I checked out your Web site. Very cool. I like the fact that you include all opinions, good and bad, in the comments. I went to hang up your flyer for the [Delaware] Art Museum shows at work and a woman there said, "Oh my god, that's the worst movie ever made!!!" I said, "Really, what's wrong with it?" She said something like, "Oh I don't know, people were walking out before it even started..." Later she confessed she had not actually seen the movie. I must add that when somebody tells me a movie is really terrible (especially if the person is a know-it-all uptight wannabe critic) I automatically want to see it. Your ideas sound great and I can't wait to see them on film. Kay Sinik 3/24/01 ![]() Hi guys, I received your video over the weekend and got a chance to watch it last night. WOW! I couldn't believe how many characters and locations you used! The sound was VERY clear. [On] both shorts that I have made, the sound sucks. GOOD WORK! My favorite character? Miss Bessie. JJ Garvine 2/21/01 ![]() I thought the movie was creative and funny. I was impressed with your script. You guys have talent. You played a great part and the casting was perfect. The movie was moving at a good pace. But after your lead character met the holdup woman and her crowd, the whole movie just took off. In fact, it was over before I realized it. I believe that if you can get the right movie types behind this movie it could take off for you. I hope it does. I know you have the talent to write scripts. So don't stop writing. Frank Colonna 2/7/01 ![]() I'll take one copy of the edited version. By the way, Alan CRACKED UP through the whole film. He really enjoyed it. I thought it was much tighter this time around without losing anything. GREAT JOB!!! Sherri Latchford 12/4/00 ![]() Just wanted to say that my girlfriend Megan and I really enjoyed the movie. We haven't stopped talking about it.. It was really good. I was wondering if this was going to be put on VHS, I would love a copy. Andy Noethiger 12/4/00 ![]() I saw it for the first time last night, though I missed the first 15 minutes or so perhaps. Great movie, and I was laughing uncontrollably at work today just remembering the old lady scene, and how you guys had done the improbable and grossed me out, which is hard to do, since I write for Howard Stern. Thanks and I'll be one of the first ones to buy it when it's out on video. Jerry Lehane 12/2/00 ![]() We thoroughly enjoyed your movie on Thursday night. I'm still laughing about so many of the scenes. I am looking forward to seeing it again when you offer the video. I wish you continued success with the film as you promote it further. Scott Luxon 12/2/00 ![]() All of my friends agreed that the film was terrific. Congrats! Jeff Marks 12/1/00 ![]() I just wanted to make some comments since sometimes it is difficult to solicit this information: a.. I was very impressed with acting of gay guy (facial expressions especially). b.. I really liked shower scene (camera work and girl's acting). Although it was a little disjointed why he went into the bathroom and the ending of the scene. c.. I really liked camera work in the bar. d.. I liked the writing and execution of the bar scene with the gay guy and the 2 big guys. e.. I would strongly suggest a "script editor" because there were many scenes / lines not very well conceived or written. f.. There was too much time spent with sexual innuendo / themes. g.. I felt that the movie began to get interesting after the girl was involved. h.. I thought too many "skits" in the beginning regarding the lead's problem finding housing. i.. The "skit" involving the overbearing parental types when trying to find housing was overkill with sex theme. k.. I could have left many times during the film and not felt I was missing anything. Still, I watched until end of the credits and really admired the effort and talent of many aspects. The ending was good but could have been better. Certainly the ending had the best enjoyment "period of time" for the viewer. l.. I was astonished by the multitude of actors. Sometimes it left me wanting to see more of them (eg., the black gas station attendant; the woman talking to the press after the robbery; the little girl on the curb; the woman shop lifter; etc.) Sometimes I thought the characters were unnecessary or poorly developed in the plot (eg., the guy who eventually drives the get-away car; the guy in the bathroom; the mother of the guy who knew Jackie, etc.) I am by no means knowledgeable about movies and their production. I think you have great potential and wish you the best of luck. In the meantime, I hope you do not take offense and I know Delaware is a small state so I probably will see you soon. PS: CD of soundtrack is pretty good. Mark Dienemann 12/1/00 ![]() Great time at the movie!!! I love the CD also, I play it all the time! You were also great in it! And of course you must relay to Pete Murphy how great it was to see him in it also. Well, good luck! PS: I love the gay guy in the movie!!! Amy Wriston 11/9/00 ![]() I concur with cutting half an hour off the flick. The four friends we brought on Saturday laughed all the way through it. After seeing it on Friday night, I was a tad worried about the couple, (Robyn & Cal) because she is pretty religious, and he is sort of homophobic. Well, these two laughed all the way through the movie. Then, afterward, when Robyn and I went to the ladies room where we had to wait in line, before entering the stall, she said, "I hope I can remember all of the directions." I thought she meant how to get back to Dover, so I said, "You mean directions for how to get home?" She chuckled, "No, the directions the guy gave in the movie for going to the bathroom." Bringing a couple of people to Rehoboth on Friday, and looking forward to seeing you there. Ava Perrine 11/8/00 ![]() Good job. I think with the editing you may have a big winner... Dr. William Kalatsky 11/7/00 ![]() Even though it was rude, crude and vulgar to a Christian lady like myself I still had a lot of laughs so I forgive you. It was a fun piece. Patricia Hughey 11/7/00 ![]() Just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your film and was honored to have been in the audience for the debut. Please forgive me, but some of the cursing got to me, but overall I enjoyed the movie. I had some good laughs -- Frank was great. I loved his facial expressions and especially loved when he was holding the cops at gunpoint in the diner. The roommates he ran into were really wacko (and I'm sure all too real, which is pretty scary). Jackie's little "tirades" during the holdups were wonderful. Jasmine, well what can you say, his "mob" scene was hysterical. Everyone did a great job and I wish you all the best in your efforts to have the movie shown nationally. Good Luck in Rehoboth. I saw you will be showing the film there. I believe it was said that the version shown on November 4 was uncut. I hope there is an opportunity to see the edited version also. I'd be interested to see how things end up. Again, best wishes and hope there are more movies in your future. T. Walls 11/5/00 ![]() My brother and I went to your movie. We both thought it was great. Really funny. I wish you much success with the film. Anthony J. Travagline 11/7/00 ![]() For the most part, the guys here didn't like the scenes that didn't make sense. The confessional, nothing really happened with the guy. The old woman there might have been funny, but the scene was out of place. The security guard interview seemed out of place, it was totally unrelated to the movie. The Ms. Lazer eating ham while talking didn't go over well. Everybody loved the guy that was into senior citizen, but felt we didn't need the tour of the senior center. The scene at the end with the queen talking to the mobsters, they say went on too long. A few double meaning jokes and that's it. My own personal note. Ms. Lazer was talking about this big hit she wanted to do. "Mexico Big" Somehow that got totally dropped and they ripped off his dad's friend for a couple grand. Didn't make much sense to me. The beginning of the movie, in general, everybody liked, especially the black guy who had the apartment for rent. Also, the house with the old couple, was pretty good. In general everyone had fun going out, and no matter what their opinion was, they've been talking about it all day. Thomas Brady 11/6/00 ![]() Great job on the movie -- very funny and twisted! The gay guy stole the show! David Preston 11/6/00 ![]() I laughed, I cried, I used the air sick bag (in Latin that's vini, vipee, weenie), I was so very impressed. I don't know if this is your first effort or not, but with the exception of a few actors that needed to be slapped around, and some spots in the script that could've used another revision... it was f**ckin' awesome. My wife even swiped my copy of the soundtrack to listen to on the way to and from work, and she's a hard broad to please at times. All I can say, Gordon, is to you and your talented brother, kudos, and I hope this carries into the big time. It was truly great fun. I want to see your hard work pay off like it should...
