We had the perfect crowd (about 140 people) and raised over $2300.00 and counting. Thanks to Chuck and Tre Hall for allowing us to have it at their beautiful home, Dan Butler from Toscana with fantastic food, Jazzman Bruce Anthony, and so many others who participated in so many ways. The event featured fabulous creations from chef Dan Butler & Toscana Catering, jazz guitar by Bruce Anthony, and a silent auction. Proceeds go to Support the Children of Darfur, Sudan. Read it here: Brothers behind the camera MARCH 2005 Getting Even At Wilmington's Hearts & Minds Film Festival - Film Brothers Productions presented a special screening of Getting Even as part of Wilmington's Hearts & Minds Film Festival, formerly the Wilmington Independent Festival. The screening took place at Theatre N at Nemours on March 5, and was sold out. The event included a discussion with the writers, directors, producers, and actors, and after-show party with free hors d'oeuvres at Café Mezzanotte in the same building. Film Brothers Productions presented a special performance of the Philadelphia sketch comedy group Bad Hair, performing in Wilmington for two shows, one night only. It's smart, tight humor. The group recently sold out the Philadelphia Fringe Festival 2004. Date: Saturday, January 29, 2005 Venue: 4W5 Café, 4 West 5th Street (Wilmington, DE) Tickets: $15 for show only. $25 for show and Cajun Sampler Buffet at King Cake Baby next door. About the show: www.badhairsketch.com Press release (MS Word format) Poster (MS Word format) OCTOBER 2004 Film Brothers Special Event - Film Brothers Productions produced a special big screen showing of the original Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory at the Newark Cinema Center in Newark, DE. The October 9 event featured two screenings along with jugglers, clowns, and face painting. Willy Wonka himself sculpted balloons for the kids! Golden Ticket prizes included a $300 gift certificate from Wooden Wheels Bikes, a 14K Yellow Gold Duck pendant (value $475) from Minster's Jewelers, a Disney Bowling Ball from Brunswick Lanes, and more. Just under 600 people attended. Thanks to all the sponsors for the success of this event and helping Film Brothers to continue our movie making quest! The piece talks about the state tourism office's recognition of Film Brothers' impact on the community, with a focus on the recent events for Getting Even. See the full article in Getting Even - Media. MARCH 2004 Premiere Events - Thursday, March 25 & Thursday, April 1 Film Brothers Productions is back to comedy! Getting Even, the latest Film Brothers Productions feature movie, is about senior citizens who have had enough flack from the younger generation and are seeking revenge. The world premiere was a major community event, with a buffet dinner at Timothy's Restaurant in Newark after the screening, prizes, and a silent auction. When: 7:00 PM (both dates) Where: Newark Cinema Center, Newark Shopping Center (Newark, DE). Ratings points: Mild adult language, silly violence and adult content. Tickets: $25 each, including the show and dinner buffet at Timothy's Restaurant Newark. $10 each, including the show only. Tickets were SOLD OUT for both shows and dinner parties. AUGUST 2003 That's A Wrap! - Film Brothers Productions has completed filming of their latest comedy feature, Getting Even. The film is now in the editing proces. NOVEMBER 2002 Premiere event a hit!!! - The premiere event for Routes on November 16 was a smash hit with two sold out audiences at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts! Our latest movie Routes (a 30 minute story about two garbage men with different beliefs on God) premiered on Saturday, November 16, 2002.
